Photo album

This photo album, created on the occasion of the opening of the "L’Ecole Professionelle de la Mine Geislautern" on 29 July 1950, documents the various activities of the new Saarlandic miner's school. This revitalized an old tradition that reaches back to the beginning of the 19th century, specifically the year 1807 when the Napoleonic Mining school "Ecole pratique impériale des mines de la sarre" was founded here. Its director was Jean Baptiste Duhamel.
