Ilandagh - a mountain of volcanic origin, located on the territory of Julfa, the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan. "Ilan" – in the Azerbaijani language means "snake", and the word "dağh" is translated as “mountain". So, the name of the mountain stemmed from these two words – “Snake Mountain”. The origin of this name is not known in details, but there are a number of legends associated with the name Ilandagh.
