Edna Lumb is painting a watercolour on-site, wearing a hard hat. She is painting as London's Transport Museum is being constructed, and the exhibits installed. Lumb was known as an on-site artist who often painted buildings and industrial heritage. London's Transport Museum was being converted from the original Covent Garden Flower Market. It was opened to the public on 29 March 1980.
