He is wearing the Australian 1908 Olympic Games uniform, consisting of white shorts and a dark t-shirt. The t-shirt has the Australian Coat of Arms on the front with the word "AUSTRALASIA" underneath. Reverse is blank, except for some brown printed text that reads, in part, "Photographed & Published by Foster...".
