The donor of this photograph graduated from Springfield Technical High School, in Springfield, MA, in 1939. A photography enthusiast and member of the camera club, he photographed many school activities armed with a Kodak Special 616, a Kodak Recomer camera, and Super XX film. He later found a lifelong career at Rochester's Eastman Kodak, and he kept up photography as a hobby. In 1989 when Springfield Tech class of 1939 celebrated its 50th reunion, he printed large photos from the 1939 negatives he'd saved. These black and white images show a host of school activities including plays, dances, and less formal get-togethers.
