The McLoughlin Brothers children's book publisher also manufactured games and toddler toys during the later 19th and early 20th centuries. The firm took pages directly from its fairy tail and nursery rhyme books, glued them to wooden blocks, and produced sets of nesting blocks in graduated sizes. These sets often featured the alphabet printed on the top panels. Similar playthings are still manufactured.
