Pierre Fouche with Ashraf Jamal & Werner Ungerer, Europa…Europa

Pierre Fouche was Social Fabric artist-in-residence at FALKE SA, a sock manufacturer. Here, Pierre uses FALKE's threads to embroider the map in this artwork. The map is based on an antique map with its geographic distortions of regions outside of Europe. The text is as if Africa is remembering when European travellers first discovered her. The work is a collaboration with two other artists.
