This pilang was given to its current owner by his grandfather as an heirloom. It was kept in a room on the roof of the double storeyed house. The owner moved it to the open terrace space when he used it. The bann (webbing) of the pilang was woven using cotton ropes while the paandh (tensioning ropes) were of jute.
