In 1964, English-born Susie Kosovic invested $6,000 to open her Yorkville boutique called Poupee Rouge. In 1966, MacLean’s magazine called Susie Canada’s Mary Quant. She had several outlets for her mod clothes across the country, as well as a shop in Montego Bay, Jamaica until she closed her business in 1970.
