The skirt of this ball gown is made from a total of ten sheets pieces of fabric. The lengths of fabric are arranged in a smooth finish at the front and sides to highlight the pattern of the dull moiré. The plethora of fabric is gathered at the back and fall down toward the train. The wedge-shaped silhouette is emphasized by a bow made of contrasting shiny silk satin. The bow edges are covered with glass bead garlands and mother-of-pearl. The dress bodice reaches to the waist and ends with a long pointed waist in front and a short one in the rear. The wide neckline is framed by ruffled silk tulle trim held in zigzag form by pink satin ribbons. Beneath this is a glass string hung with pearl loops whose ends are covered with drop-shaped pearls and round foam pearls. The bodice has short sleeves that are decorated with a ruffled tulle and braided lace braid at the cuffs. The fully lined bodice is fastened in the back with hook and eyes and an additional tie.
