I started taking pictures because I was always drawn to patterns and moving subjects. I love exploring places, observing people and my surroundings. Dubai as a melting pot of cultures and an architectural haven, offers me both. Different parts of the city will introduce you to new experiences, from food that will confuse your taste buds, building patterns and materials that carry a nostalgic quality, and people that are warm, welcoming and accepting. You can be standing on the same spot everyday and a new story will unfold right before your eyes. There is sometimes chaos but it comes with calm, charm, and an education in others. As an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker), I always relate to the people I photograph, for most of them are expats, dreamers like me. People that have different passports, and come from all walks of life call this city home. I see myself in them; I am them.
