Leonard Meager (c. 1625-1704) was a gardener and writer on gardening. He worked for Philip Hollman of Warkworth, Northamptonshire, and later at the Brompton Park nursery. His most popular work, which ran to eleven editions between 1670 and 1710, was his practical guide to gardening, 'The English Gardener, or, A Sure Guide to Young Planters and Gardeners, in Three Parts...'.
