Pleated fan

Pleated folding fan with hand-colored etching and stipple engraved paper leaf with wood sticks and guards inlaid with steel discs, mother-of-pearl, steel discs, and stone ornaments. Leaf obverse shows a king and queen in Tudor dress seated on side-by-side thrones in front of a Gothic-style balustrade, with a courtier looking on. Reverse shows a reclining gentleman attended by two women, one pouring him wine and the other playing guitar, beside a river with palm trees.
