Plexiglas, an acrylic plastic also known as Lucite and Perspex, was in abundance after the Second World War. It had been produced for airplane cockpits and new applications were sought after the war. This lamp is an example of one of the many attempts to make good use of it. This sample was produced by the Röhm company.
