"This plate is one of the few ceramic elements of the Santiago Rusiñol (Barcelona, 1861 – Aranjuez, 1931) collection coming from Montelupo, in la Toscana. It belongs to one of the most popular series of this manufacturing, plates characterized by yellow colour and decorated with figures of ladies and swordsmen.

Montelupo was one of the centres that most influenced in the Catalan ceramic production at mid XVII century."
