This hand-stencilled and hand-painted wall decoration features stylised pomegranates on a striking red background. Pomegranates are a Mediterranean fruit that traditionally symbolise fertility and this wall is fittingly positioned behind the font, which would have been used to welcome newborn infants into the church.
