Skoklosters, Sweden

It is not known where this dried example of a Porcupinefish (Diodontidae) comes from. The first time it appears in the inventory lists at Skokloster is 1710, when Count Wrangel's grandson Abraham Brahe owned the estate. Having exotic specimens like this was de rigeur in a cultured man's collection in the 17th Century.
