Front page listing General Rules, light blue booklet from the Port Adelaide Sailing Club (about 1900) lists General Rules and Sailing Regulations including details on race starts, programs, disqualifications, protests and rules of the road. Port Adelaide Sailing Club was established in 1897. The first sailing regatta took place in 1838 and regattas and sail races have been a feature of life on the Port River ever since.
