Portrait of Agostino Rusconi

Agostino Rusconi, a wealthy merchant, makes a living donation to the Ospedale Maggiore asking for a life annuity and the immediate execution of the commemorative painting, to be displayed, however, to the Festa del Perdono only after his death in 1879. In the will he appoints his wife heir and establishes a legacy also in favour of the Institute of the Blind.
