Count Ambrogio Viganotti Giusti (1833-1900), a lawyer, in his will where he appoints his son Gian Franco as heir, has a legacy of 50,000 lire in favor of the Maggiore Hospital, recalling also many other charitable and welfare institutions, among which the Kitchen for the poor sick, an institution that at the end of the nineteenth century will begin to appear frequently in the benefactors' wills.
