Portrait of Angela Tentorio

Angela Tentorio is an indirect benefactor of the Maggiore Hospital. In fact, although legally entitled to the inheritance left to the hospital by the benefactor Giovan Battista Corti, she does not oppose the bequest (on March 21, 1664), but even helps the Ca 'Granda in a dispute with the tax authorities who wanted to take possession of it. While the portrait of Giovan Battista Corti does not appear among those of the benefactors, there are those of Angela Tentorio, in fact, and of the sisters Angelica Aspesi Corbetta and Giovanna Aspesi Fattina, his three heirs. The author of the portrait, of modest quality, is unknown, probably not commissioned by the Chapter, but arrived with the inheritance goods and inserted in the Picture Gallery because Angela Tentorio is considered in fact a benefactor.
