Antonio Giudici (1780-1858), nobleman, lawyer, treasury minister, secretary of the Public Benefit Organization and prefect of the Monte del Lombardo Veneto, when he dies he assigns a legacy to the Ospedale Maggiore, to which he also donates his entire library. The portrait is commissioned to Antonio Caimi, a versatile artist, painter, writer and art historian. The painting represents the magistrate standing solemnly beside the desk.
