Portrait of Camillo Zanoni

Lodovico Zambeletti1914

Ca’ Granda – Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico

Ca’ Granda – Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico
Milan, Italy

This portrait, unlike those of the father and mother (that belong to a period in which the artist was still very influenced by his masters from the Brera Academy, especially Cesare Tallone), reveals an impressionistic style. The figure is plastic and the elegant glass cabinet, enclosed in the transparency of the glass door, is painted with quick and effective touches of great skill. For this reason the Artistic Commission, in the confirmation of acceptance, judges this work "of particular artistic value".
