Ca’ Granda – Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico
Milan, Italy

The engineer Enrico Marazzani (1853-1935) collaborates in the construction of the facilities of the Ferrovie Nord and in the subdivision of the area of the former Lazzaretto; he received the title of Commander of the Crown of Italy for his work first as a builder engineer, then as a technical consultant, and finally as a director of the Opera Pia Kindergartens of Charity for Childhood and Childhood. The will has a legacy of 200,000 lire in favor of the Ospedale Maggiore. Dr. Franco Brega, universal heir of the deceased, suggests the name of Antonio Pasinetti, for the execution of the portrait, when, however, the Artistic Commission had already given the task to Biagio Milanese, who executed a work of the nineteenth-century mold, in the composition and in the chromatic choice.
