Ester Preyer, daughter of the sculptor Michele Preyer, gives thanks to her father for growing up in the company of the Milanese artists. A woman of refined culture, she is on friendly terms with Eleuterio Pagliano, who performs her youthful portrait, which she later donated to the Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Milan.
