The noble Giulio Cesare Boffi, priest, canon of San Nazaro in Brolo, makes generous donations to the hospital while still living. Celebrating Mass without compensation for many years in one of the departments. He leaves the Maggiore Hospital 2000 lire and a house, with a will dated 17 September 1701, in which he asks that the sick, in the evening, be asked to recite three Hail Marys, in honor of the Immaculate Conception and "for the suffrage of her soul".
