Portrait of Giulio Cesare Pessina

Giulio Cesare Pessina, chancellor of the Milanese Senate (in order for him to be granted by Filippo IV of Spain the prestigious position his father had consumed almost half of the family assets), in his will of 1713 he nominated the Ospedale Maggiore, providing numerous bequests to other charities and friends, including the archivist and the cashier of the hospital.
