Luther Burbank was as American horticulturalist and scientist, whose work impressed Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, when they arrived in the United States. His main job consisted in the hybridation or mixture of plants, to originate new species. Burbank carried out around a thousand experiments with fruit trees, vegetables, flowers, and cereals.
