Postcard of the Saar region and the Saar song "Deutsch ist die Saar" (literally: "The Saar is German") created by the teacher Hanns Maria Lux from Saarbrücken in 1920 that was sung using the melody of the "Steigerlied". This "Saarlied" was a part of the propaganda machinery lobbying for the reintegration of the Saar region into the German Reich.
