Postcard of The Alexandra Palace - The Ballroom

Interior image of a ballroom built in the Alexandra Park before the first Palace, featuring wooden roof, two levels in the room and seats along the walls. This building was later used as a kite workshop and exhibition space by S.F. Cody, pioneer of manned flight. During the Second World War the ballroom became known as Blandford Hall. It burnt down in 1971.
