Samara Choral Synagogue was built in 1908. This relatively large synagogue, with the capacity to seat a thousand worshipers, was designed in the Moresque style and was one of the town’s adornments. The donations for its construction were given by Russian merchants and craftsmen as well as by members of the Jewish community.
