This bowl was one of the typical articles of the early period of the Jinsha site, and it was also a heritage of the Sanxingdui culture. The bowl looks like a cup, its long stem resembles a lamp, and its base has the shape of trumpet. As it has no bottom, it could not be used as a container. Archaeologists presumed it might have served as a bowl for a vessel with a pointed bottom or a ritual utensil for sacrificial activities.
