Handkerchief of copper-plate printed cotton commemorating 'The Present Taste of the Nobility and Gentry Exhibited in the Grand Masquerade Ball in Soho Square in 1771'. The handkerchief depicts figures in fancy dress including Mr Punch attacking The Old Witch with a pitch fork and broom. Printed in blue.

In the centre are two cupids carrying masks, and a rural landscape is behind them. The handkerchief is finely printed with garlands of flowers, musical instruments and other motifs scattered between the figures.
