Cotton printers of the 18th century would print mostly on demand by professional or private clients. Beerenbroeck the biggest printing firm in the Austrian Netherlands and situated in Antwerp, sent out yearly price lists of different printing styles. If a client wanted to see specific designs he or she had to come to the firm or samples would be sent out. These simple cottons from 1775 show cheap, handwoven cottons and simple prints with few colours for everyday clothing for the poor.
