The radio’s live re-enactments of historical events enjoy great popularity among listeners. On the anniversaries of key historical events, the radio reconstructs past happenings almost minute by minute in broadcasts and on social networks with the help of precise research, eye witnesses and experts. This is how the 89 Again project recalling the events of the Velvet Revolution was created. The occupation by the Warsaw Pact troops in August 1968 was covered by Project 68, which received the prestigious Prix Europa. Another live broadcast from the Prague Main Station recalled the Nazi occupation of the Czech lands from March 1939. The photograph shows the broadcast of the August 1968 reconstruction, which included the use of period technology.
