Proof of £50 Historic Characters Banknote

A proof of a £50 (series D) banknote featuring Sir Christopher Wren. The front of the banknote has been fully printed, with the exception of the Chief Cashier's signature on the front. The back has only been printed with the St Paul's Cathedral vignette. There is a pen annotation indicating that the colours in the front design was approved by the Governors' in 1980.
