Composition in tones, gray, ochre, earthy, white, rose, blue and black. Contour lines and shading. It depicts seven men panning in a river. In the foreground, on the right inclined man in profile to the left, holding panning with both hands; It is with the on the left leg further on the right, and wear brimmed hat and rolled clear knee pants. On the right, with the earthy mound stuck shovel. Further back on the left, front man holding panning. He's the face tilted down, his body plunged to the waist in water and wears short-sleeved shirt. In the background, in the center, black front man with his arm bent close to the body and cupped hand up as if holding gravels. It wears brimmed hat and white shirt-neck "V". At his side, far on the right, two miners profile to the left, in perspective to the bottom and to the right, in the same position of the first employee. On the third level, two front men holding panning with half of the body immersed in water. The river has grayish water, and the bottom on the left part of the margin with vegetation and piece of earthy on the right.
