Pseuorca yuanliensis Chang and & Cheng 1998

A well-preserved fossil skull was designated as being a new species, named Pseuorca yuanliensis. This specimen was found in the Toukoushan Formation from Early to Middle Pleistocene at Yuanli town. A paleoenvironmental reconstruction based upon the accompanying fossil driftwood, mollusk and microfossils reveal the habitat with shallow waters along the coast.
