A brown bowl decorated with a black heron on the center, four fish's fins stand out from the edges in yellow ocher and black.
The piece was made for the "Talavera Contemporánea" exhibition held by the UDLAP and Uriarte Talavera in 1999. The koi fishes and heron are common motives in East Asian artistic tradition.
Jorge Wilmont was a well-known ceramist that introduce the use of gres pasta in Mexico, been also was a teacher form many artist, his pieces characterize by an oriental influence.
