It is supported by a fish at each side. Surrounding text in legend reads "AUSTRALASIAN AMATEUR SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS". Reverse inscription framed by wreath reads "880 Yards / Championship / of Australia / Won by / F. BEAUREPAIRE / at Melbourne / 29.1.1910 / Time 12 min 15 secs".
