Qing-dynasty Long Red Satin Jacket with Gold-couching-embroidered Clouds and Dragons Front View

This jacket with a standing collar, a vertical placket and broad sleeves adopted red satin for its outer fabric and a moonlight white satin for it lining. There are ten dragons embroidered via the gold couching technique on the main body of the jacket, flying around motifs of clouds, bats, Chinese character of longevity and the Twelve Symbols of Sovereignty. And the lap of this garment is embellished with patterns of Eight Treasures and ripples.
