The address No.33, Xiaxingzhong Lane of Hangzhou is the original site of the Fan Industry Guild of Hangzhou. At each foot of the main entrance erected one Wall Boundary Stele of the Fan Industry Guild, which has evolved into a milestone that witnesses the development of the fan industry of Hangzhou.
As one of the two, this stele made of bluestone measures 55cm in length, 10cm in width and 210cm in height. On the upper section there is a horizontal line of two carved Chinese characters meaning “the fan industry” while on the lower part lies a vertical line meaning “wall boundary of the guild”. Both erected in 1883, one of them survived and were kept since 1993 in the famous Wang Xing Ji Fan Shop, who donated it to the Fan Museum of China in 2009 when the museum was founded.
