This tropical plant with known medicinal properties (antimalarial) was first described by the Surinamese botanist Graman Quassi (1692-1787). It was named after Graman Quassi by Carl Linnaeus. This plate is from volume VI of Linnaeus' book, Amoeniates Academicae, p.429.
