Queen City

The Queen City Series is continuing Cypriens exploration of vandalism, following mans’s traces in nature in an iconoclastic way, by combining historical and modern ruins in a state of dilapidation or reconstruction.  This is the third series where Cypriencombines, within collages, postcards, photographic archive material and bier labels. Herewith he introduces a cultural material into another context in order to critically examine the Western Archaeology and its ideas of colonialism and its consequences, which is extended by the accumulation of human and natural catastrophes
