Photograph of a section of Quinta da Azinheira. This property is located on the left bank of the Corgo River, below the walled path that connected Azinheira to the woods of Zória. It belonged to Real Companhia Velha, having passed on to the Guedes de Amorim family.
The neighbouring landscape is marked by vineyards surrounded by scattered fruit trees and olive tree borders, as well as a terraced olive grove by the estate's gate.
The set stands out because of the straight line of the walls of good construction that, in some points, reach more than 5 meters in height. In addition to the connection by stairs, this set is articulated by a central ramp with several flights, protected by a schist guard. Also remarkable is the existence of "pilheiros" – holes on the vertical walls where vines grow, to maximize the production.
