Founder member of the Society of Contemporary Artists, Sanat Kar is an outstanding printmaker and painter. He experimented with various materials, inventing new techniques such as the cardboard intaglio technique and sun mica engraving.

Sanat Kar's paintings have a dream-like character and are usually executed in dark colours.
