Radio Station, San Juan, Puerto Rico

The San Juan Naval Station was established shortly after the American occupation of Puerto Rico in 1898 and ceased by December 1973. From 1915 to 1920, prompted largely by World War I, Naval Districts transformed into complex organizations, with fulltime staff, new operational functions, and new command relationships with evolving technology. This Radio Station is from that era of expansion.
