A compilation of three separate images, including two portraits of Rebekah Harkness Kean (Mrs. B.H. Kean) and a still life of a jeweled starfish on a rock. The central image shows a grey rock on a white backdrop, displaying the starfish jewelry commissioned by Mrs. Kean and designed by Dali using his jewellers Alemany & Co. The starfish has a central pearl from Japan, 21 millimeters in diameter, with diamond and ruby tentacles, gold-veined emerald sea-leaves, and two detachable topaz-lit dragonflies. Inset above is a head and torso portrait of Mrs. Kean in a strapless evening dress, wearing the starfish on her left shoulder. Inset below is a full body portrait of Mrs. Kean in a headstand, wearing the starfish on her left lower calf with black sheer tights and a black leotard.
