Record of Special Bequeathal by Ha Jeung

This document was personally handwritten by
Ha Jeung when he bequeathed land and slaves
to Lady Jeong of the Jinyang Jeong family, wife
of his younger brother Ha Hyeop. Ha Jeung
had taken care of his younger brother as if he
was own child since his parents died, and in
1601, when Ha Hyeop married and started his
own family, Ha Jeung specially bequeathed
two slaves and 6 majigi of farmland to Lady
Jeong as a marriage gift. She was a daughter of
Saengwon licentiate Jeong Seunghun, and later
had three sons and three daughters with Ha
Hyeop.
