Obituaries are registers of deceased persons. The listed persons should be commemorated in prayer. There are names of members of the monastery, monks and nuns from associated monasteries, donors and benefactors. The names are ordered by the date of death. The manuscript belonged to the Franciscan order in Regensburg and is one of the rare illuminated specimens of this kind of books. Next to the names, there are also coats of arms or miniatures of donors and benefactors.

Fol. 47v: The Franciscan Berthold von Regensburg died in the Regensburg convent on 14 December 1272. Tradition has it that up to 40,000, sometimes even up to 200,000 listeners, were enthralled by his sermons, frequently held in the fields, exhorting people to do penance.
